Alison Goldfrapp brought The

Love Invention tour to the Barrowland Ballroom on 24/2/24.

Starting the evening with "In Electric Blue" from her new solo album the crowed welcomed Alison with great applause and hoping for a night of synth heaven.

Next up was the title track from the new album "Love Invention" followed by " Believer" setting the mood for the night of new solo material and classic Goldfrapp tracks.

"Digging Deeper" and "So hard So hot" were the next offerings from the new album which brought the tempo down a bit but not enough for an enthusiastic crowd dancing and enjoying the atmosphere of glam rock and synth pop but it was the following track" Number 1" that really got the party started, this was followed by the Royksopp collaboration "Impossible" then two more Golfrapp tracks "Ride a White Horse" and "Beautiful" the later being requested by fans.

An ode to love and how music is a great healer was how "The Beat Divide" was introduced, the opening track from "The Love Invention" album followed with a bit of crowed interaction.

Goldphrapp tracks "Alive" and the catchy "Rocket" brough the set to an end before a quick outfit change and a return to the stage for the encore.

The encore consisted of four track, two from the new album and two classic Goldfrapp tracks.

"Gatto Gelato" was up first quickly followed by "Oh La La" a track that brought the house down as did "Strick Machine" two classic tracks that always get the crowd going and wanting more.

The evening came to an end with the the track "Fever (This is the Real Thing) bringing an evening of glitz and glamour and synth pop electronica to an end for the fans that seemed to love every minute of the show.
